Last month for our Global Activism segment, Jason Glaser of La Isla Foundation talked about epidemic levels of Chronic Kidney Disease of Unknown Origin (CKDu) found in Nicaraguan sugar cane workers. Glaser noted that several workers were fired from their jobs for speaking to media and researchers working on a just-released study on the issue.
