Last week, Worldview was on the road, broadcasting from locations around the Midwest and lower Ontario to explore how global issues like water insecurity and indigenous rights play out in Chicago’s own backyard. Throughout this week, we’ll be playing you selections of conversations we had that didn’t get a chance to air while we were away.

In Detroit, we spoke with organizations and individuals that are building the city up from its grassroots. Rich Feldman, a longtime Detroit-based community organizer, worked with renowned late activists James and Grace Lee Boggs. He’s now a board member at a center dedicated to continuing the Boggs’ work - the James and Grace Lee Boggs Center to Nurture Community Leadership. He joins the show to discuss the Boggs’ legacy in Detroit and what the next generation of solutions-focused, community-led activism in the city looks like.
