In the 1960s, you could catch comedians at places like Mr. Kelly’s. The Gate of Horn. But those venues weren’t dedicated solely to comics. Then in 1978, Zanies appeared on North Wells, and became the hot spot for both established and up-and-coming comics.

Zanies played an important part in the careers of Jerry Seinfeld, Jay Leno, Roseanne Barr, Gilbert Gottfried, Richard Lewis, and many more. Bert Haas has managed the club (now clubs) and booked the talent since 1980. Haas joins us to share four decades of laughs and stories as Zanies celebrates their anniversary.
