Chicago Public Media - Donation Refund Policy

WBEZ High Fidelity members (members with automatically recurring monthly or annually donations) may cancel their donations at any time through the online WBEZ Member Center at wbez.org/members

Any donor who has made an error in giving or change their mind about contributing to WBEZ may request a partial or full refund.

WBEZ will honor the request for a refund for confirmed transactions within 90 days of the original transaction posting. Once approved, most refunds will take ten to fourteen business days to process. Some refunds can take up to six weeks to fully process. 

Refunds are posted to the original method of payment. For example, if a donation is made by credit card, the refund will be credited back to that same credit card.

If the original payment method is no longer valid, the refund will be processed by physical check. Checks are mailed to the donor’s primary address on file. This process can take up to six weeks to complete.
