A 7.0 magnitude earthquake struck Haiti on January 12th, 2010. An estimated three million people were affected by the quake.

We'll get an update on the situation on the ground in Haiti from Steven Werlin. He works with Haiti's largest micro-finance bank, Fonkoze. Also in our Global Activism segment we'll hear about some ongoing projects in Haiti. Mona Purdy of Share Your Soles is just back from Haiti, she'll fill us in on the work they're doing to help with relief efforts. Also, we'll talk with the founder of Schools for Children of the World about a new project he's working on to help rebuild Haiti's school system.
