Today we talk about human rights abuse in Iran with Omid Memarian, an Iranian journalist and former prisoner of conscience and torture survivor. He’s advocating on behalf of seven Baha’i leaders sentenced to long prison terms in Iran for practicing their faith, and he’s also publishing a report on student rights violations in the country. And in our Global Activism segment, we hear from George Snyman and Brooke Heubner from Hands at Work.  Snyman co-founded the organization after walking across southern Africa with a goal to provide assistance to 100,000 orphaned and vulnerable children in the region by the end of 2010.
