The U.N. World Food Programme says the world’s worst humanitarian crisis is in Yemen and that the country is "on the brink of famine".

Approximately 7.3 million people urgently need food assistance, according to a recent report coauthored by the U.N. World Food Programme. In the last two years, UNICEF has supported the treatment of 460,000 children in Yemen suffering from severe acute malnutrition, according to the report.

Worldview spoke about the situation with Summer Nasser, chair of Yemen Aid, an organization that provides direct assistance to the people in need.
