Back in October, we spoke with Cook County Commissioner Jesus “Chuy” Garcia right as he announced his candidacy for mayor. At that point, no one knew much about how Chicago Teachers Union president Karen Lewis was doing after being diagnosed with a brain tumor, but Garcia filled us in. Now Garcia is releasing his education platform and it has the CTU’s fingerprints all over it. WBEZ’s Becky Vevea joins us in studio with the details.
