For several years, the Fulcrum Point New Music Project produced a concert series exploring music having to do with Earth, Wind, Water, and Fire. Their 2005-2006 season of “Essential Art, Essential Elements” explored the concept of air, using music from a variety of genres and regions. And in advance of their “Light as Air” performance, Fulcrum Point artistic director Steven Burns spoke with WBEZ’s Steve Edwards. Burns said that the program was inspired by our own Windy City.
