Audrey Niffenegger isn’t creating a new language, but she’s certainly proving powerful at using plain English to bring other-worldly states of being to life. The Chicago author and visual artist rose to fame in 2003 with her first novel, The Time Traveler’s Wife. The book was a surprise hit and many of you are probably familiar with it through the recent Hollywood adaptation, which also got a lot of buzz. So there was plenty of anticipation when her new book hit the stores earlier this week.
