Just a few blocks from King College Prep sits a hollowed out building that earlier this year was ravaged by fire. Next to the 47th Street Market Place is one of the few thriving businesses left in Bronzeville. Jokes and Notes on South King Drive is a comedy shop that’s one of the stops on the Just for Laughs Festival taking place this week in Chicago. It’s the brainchild of native Chicagoan Mary Lindsey.
