Last night, Senators passed a nearly $30 billion capital plan to fix up roads, transit, and schools around the state. It has been more than a decade since the last such plan. It comes after a six year capital spending stalemate under former Governor Rod Blagojevich. The plan still needs approval from the House and Governor. Illinois Public Radio’s Sean Crawford has more on the action in Springfield.
