So you want to be the Mayor of Chicago? Great, where to start? In addition to formulating your agenda, and getting out in front of voters, you probably want to start thinking about who you know and how to connect with those you don’t. In this city, lots of highly placed people hold the purse strings. So candidates in Illinois, especially Chicago, will have to cozy up to the power players. Some of the influential are successful politicians. But others come from different walks of life and tend to operate behind the scenes.
