Film and music go together like well, film and music. Even in the days of silent pictures, musicians were on hand to up the noise. Now – film soundtracks top the music charts, popular musicians frequently score movies, and some bands make their names through film.

This year’s Chicago International Movies and Music Festival spotlights the beautiful friendship between the two art forms. Eight Forty-Eight music critic Althea Legaspi has this preview.
