Closing the Empathy Gap

Studies by cognitive scientists and psychologists show that people repeatedly make selfish decisions despite their best intentions. It's a concept explored by local philosopher J.D. Trout, in his new book The Empathy Gap: Building Bridges to the Good Life and the Good Society. Trout says government can help bridge the empathy gap.
