Illinois Governor Pat Quinn has named long-time public transportation advocate Jacky Grimshaw to the board of the Chicago Transit Authority. Grimshaw is employed by the non-profit Center for Neighborhood Technology, where she works on transportation issues. A new report, by the group Transportation for America, finds that the CTA has the fourth biggest projected deficit in the country for this year.
