This being “the most wonderful time of the year,” Eight Forty-Eight got into the holiday spirit all hour long thanks to DJ Dustin Drase.
Drase has been spinning records in Chicago for over 15 years, so he had some unique vinyl squirreled away in his collection. Among his more than 250 holiday records, Drase had some ’60s-era Christmas tracks from Singapore. And no holiday collection would be complete without the “Star Wars Christmas” LP?
In addition to spinning records, Drase runs two independent record labels: Addenda and Plustapes. He joined Eight Forty-Eight to talk about his extensive—and weird—holiday record collection.
