Movies about movies… a documentary film that tell the story of Los Angeles by excerpting representations of it in other films. They’re emblematic of the meta-world we’re living in today. Eight Forty-Eight‘s film critic Jonathan Miller recently joined our own Alison Cuddy to talk about this and more.

Miller talks about Polish filmmaker Andrzej Wajda. He’s been the subject of a series running at the Gene Siskel Film Center in Chicago.  Miller also discusses the acclaimed documentary by former Chicagoan filmmaker Thom Anderson, Los Angeles Plays Itself.  The film is playing at the Chicago Filmmaker.
