Today as a nation we celebrate the birthday of Dr. Martin Luther King. The man whose efforts helped pave Barack Obama’s way to the White House.

Has Dr. King’s dream been fulfilled? We’re posing that question to you today. We’re joined by two men very familiar with various eras of the civil rights movement. Salim Muwakkil is a former member of the nation of Islam and currently a senior editor of In These Times who writes about African American issues. Dr. Quentin Young is a long-time civil rights activist who served as King’s personal doctor during his time in Chicago.
