In the nine months since we met Jonathan Gaston as he was headed off for the city-wide science fair, a lot changed has changed in his life. He’s growing a beard, he’s now in high school, and right after the science competition, he and his family found housing. 

Eight Forty-Eight’s Eilee Heikenen-Weiss recently headed over his family’s apartment on the South Side to talk about how things are going with him. We started off right where we left off—the Science Fair. Jonathan didn’t get to go to state, but there were some other prizes.
