The election of President Barack Obama created a political version of musical chairs here in Illinois. But so has the movement of people in, out, and through the state. The results of the 2010 Census will initiate state-wide redistricting, a process that can have a dramatic effect on who represents us in government. And some early numbers suggest that it could be even hairier than usual this time around. Researcher Rob Paral tells us about some demographic shifts in the state, and what they might mean for our political futures. Rob Paral is principal of the consulting firm Rob Paral and Associates.
