Life After Prison: A Look at Illinois' Re-entry Programs

To learn more about what Illinois is now doing to help ex-offenders successfully transition out of prison, we turn to two of the region's leading authorities on the process of re-entry. Deanne Benos is the Illinois Department of Corrections assistant director. She joins us by phone from the state's TAMMS super-max prison in southern Illinois. And Diane Williams is the president and CEO of the Safer Foundation here in Chicago, which helps former inmates re enter their communities.
