Los Guitarristas Bring Their Globe Trotting Sound to Our Studios

That's because she recently brought in the guitar quartet Los Guitarristas to perform in our Jim and Kay Mabie studio. They gave us a taste of the musical tour the ensemble will offer in concert tonight at the Heartland Café. The group's musical director Alfonso Chacon takes a country's traditional rhythms and melodies to arrange songs that reflect the musical landscape of a given country. Chacon along with members Daniel Gomez, Rob Clearfield, and Neil Dixon Smith, recently stopped by to perform and talk about their art with Alison Cuddy. They began with a song "Paisaje de Paraguay", based on the music of Paraguay.
