Sequels are all the rage this summer. The virginal but sexy vampires of the Twilight Saga are back. The Toy Story series is getting a coming-of-age. And this weekend, the evil aliens of Predator return. But instead of giving in to the glittery allure of the sequel, we’re going back to an original, a classic film. The Law begins a week-long run at the Gene Siskel Film Center tomorrow. The 1959 film has got it all – sex, mystery, gangsters – not to mention an all all-star cast of Italy’s then up-and-coming film stars. Christy LeMaster of Nightingale Theatre joins Alison to discuss the film. LeMaster also writes for Cine-file.
