Ernie Banks has many titles Mr. Cub, M.V.P., Hall-of-Famer and now, he just added a new one. Landmarks Illinois has named Ernie Banks a Legendary Landmark. He was in town from his home in L.A. last week to receive the honor and he stopped by our studios to talk with WBEZ’s Steve Edwards. Considering how beloved a figure Banks is here in Chicago, especially on the North Side, you may be surprised at some of the things he has to say about his career.
