As the re-trial of the former Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich gets underway, one thing is clear. Prosecutors are presenting a severely stripped down case. They’ll soon be putting their first witness on the stand at the Dirksen Federal Courthouse in downtown Chicago. But on Monday in their opening statement they sketched out their plans for jurors.
WBEZ’s Criminal and Legal Affairs reporter Robert Wildeboer was there, and he joined Eight Forty-Eight talk about what prosecutors and defense attorneys are planning in the next few weeks.
