For nearly five months, writer Christina Davidson has been driving through the United States on an extended trip to track the effects of the economy on the American people. She’s been chronicling the stories of the people she meets for the Atlantic magazine in a blog called Recession Road Trip. Davidson recently spent several days in the Chicago area and she joins us from Fort Wayne, Ind.
