Even with all the complaints about Tax Increment Financing as a development tool, there are many people in Chicago who believe TIFs have at least the potential for good. No – not just our Mayor Daley, whose vision led him to carve up Chicago into so many TIF districts. The Lakeside Community Development Corporation likes them too! This weekend, they’re planning a rally in support of creating a TIF district to combat foreclosures in Rogers Park. Joining us now to explain more is Lakeside executive director Brian White.
