Along with summer rains, one thing Chicagoans can count on is a steady stream of jazz. Eight Forty-Eight discussed the launch of the Made in Chicago jazz series, which begins Thursday night! But Wednesday, Chicagoans can catch a performance by other local jazz artists: Starlicker is the new power trio of cornetist Rob Mazurek, vibraphonist Jason Adasiewicz and drummer John Herndon. They’ll play at the Hideout in support of their new album Double Demon. But first, Eight Forty-Eight heard a track from the band.
