Top Vatican official Cardinal William Levada wrote that that the New York Times should cease its “attack mode” on the Pope in its coverage. But they’re not the only ones calling for the Pope to acknowledge the scandal. So, what is the church’s strategy on media? Bryan Cones is the Managing Editor of  U.S. Catholic magazine based here in Chicago. He explains the Church’s history with the media, and what next steps he thinks they should take.
