For a glimpse into some of this weekend’s protests we turn to Tania Unzueta, co-founder of the Immigrant Youth Justice League which organized the coming out of local undocumented students earlier this year. The move was meant to spark federal action on immigration policy. This weekend she marched to the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor where President Obama was giving a commencement speech.

Later this week, Tania heads over to Arizona to continue the effort to bring immigration reform. Tania a former Eight Forty-Eight intern, “came out” as an undocumented resident earlier this year, as part of a strategy to encourage federal action on immigration policy. She joins us by phone.
