Last month unemployment hit its highest level in 26 years despite the amount of federal dollars going into the stimulus plan. Assistant U.S. Labor Department Secretary Jane Oates was in town yesterday to discuss workforce development. Alison Cuddy spoke with her before she headed to Harper College in Palatine. While many Americans might say they’re not seeing the economy rebound they way they’d hoped, Oates says she thinks the reinvestment and recovery act is doing its job.
