It’s been a couple of years since Voyager, the debut record from the ex-Chicago band Walter Meego. But the group hasn’t bee idle - they’ve been busy touring and recording around the globe. And they recorded their latest LP Wondervalley, over a 7-month stint in the Mojave Desert near Joshua Tree National Park. The band’s also been on a bit of a transformative journey. They relocated to Los Angeles. One of the founding members left the group. And they’ve grown – from three to five members. Alison Cuddy recently sat down with Justin Sconza to talk about the band’s evolution.

Walter Meego perform Friday night at the Empty Bottle in Chicago. Their new album, Wondervalley, is due out in early 2011.
