Some nursing students at St. Xavier University recently stressed the importance of taking time to know their patients a little better. The Reminiscing Project aims to collect timeline interviews, or seniors’ reflections about how major events affected their lives. We recently eavesdropped on one of those interviews. St. Xavier nursing student Amanda Falls talks with Noreen Santschi about how she’s faring in the recession – and how it compares to other tough times she’s lived through. Santschi lives at the Smith Village retirement community in Chicago’s Beverly neighborhood.
