Ever wonder about about the true lifespan of a building? Or what those little red emergency exit signs are secretly doing to our brains?

This week, host Edward Lifson sits down and tries to figure all this out with cartoonist Ben Katchor. His work includes the comic strip Julius Knipl, Real Estate Photographer and The Jew of New York. His work also appears in the Chicago Reader and The New Yorker. Katchor is the first ever cartoonist to receive the MacArthur Foundation Fellowship, also known as the “genius grant.”

Edward and Ben will listen to stories on the poetic life and death of photographer Richard Nickel, the revival of  Stax Records, and the joy of seeing old baseball films come back to life.
