As the editor of the web site Epicurious, David Tamarkin knows his way around food, but he wasn’t doing a lot of cooking at home. So for the month of January, Tamarkin decided to give himself a challenge: cook breakfast, lunch and dinner every day, some 90 meals in all.

Though the experiment has undergone some modifications – for example, he tends to cook only two meals a day on the weekends – he tells Here & Now’s Lisa Mullins that so far it’s going quite well, thanks to the help of simple dishes like shrimp scampi (recipe here).

You can follow David Tamarkin’s experiment on Instagram and Twitter. He is davidtamarkin on Instagram and uses the #cook90 tag. On Twitter, he’s @DavidTamarkin and uses the same hashtag, #cook90.
