Two years ago this summer, voters in the U.K. voted to leave the European Union. Since then Prime Minister Theresa May has been trying to cobble together a plan for what Brexit will look like. BBC political correspondent Rob Watson updates us on where things stand now. Also, we revisit our conversation with banjo duo Béla Fleck and Abigail Washburn about their latest album. “We wanted to share with people the glory of the sound of the banjo, at least from our perspective,” Washburn tells Here & Now’s Peter O’Dowd. And the Museum of the American Revolution, which opened last year, pays tribute to the bloody revolution that gave birth to the United States more than 200 years ago. We travel to Philadelphia for a visit. That and more, in hour one of Here & Now’s July 4, 2018 full broadcast.
