Also, we meet Isaac Shapiro, an 87-year-old who lived through the bombing of Tokyo, and as a young teen found work with U.S. forces sent in to survey the destruction of Hiroshima. And a new study led by researchers at Harvard Medical School identifies key cellular mechanisms that cause blood vessels to age. Now, they’re looking for ways to apply what they found in mice studies to human health.
