The Delicate Art Of Delegate Persuasion

Republican Party delegates to this summer’s nominating convention are being wooed with perks such as goodie bags and paid airfare and hotel stays. These are all legal, as candidates and super PACs try to guarantee delegate support if there is a second round of voting at the convention. NPR politics editor Domenico Montanaro talks with Here & Now’s Robin Young about the kind of things candidates are doing to win over delegates.
