Are Chicago politicians making money in new and different ways?

In the course of just over a week, Mayor Rahm Emanuel's re-election campaign reportedly added over one million dollars to an already sizable war chest. The money came from a handful of wealthy donors (some of whom also back the Bruce Rauner election campaign) and were paid into the Mayor's super PAC, Chicago Forward.
