Bill calls for reparations for Burge torture victims

Victims of torture under former Chicago Police Commander Jon Burge will finally get a chance to discuss reparations from the city Tuesday. After a year and a half on the shelf, the City Council’s Finance Committee will hear testimony on an ordinance that calls for the city to survivors of police torture $20 million. Alderman Howard Brookins (21st) is the chief sponsor of the legislation, and joins us to talk about the ordinance and its chances of passage. (Flickr/bbcworldservice)
