Book discusses how we talk to climate change deniers
When drawing political lines, climate change is a topic that’s usually sticks to the script. Many on the right say global warming isn’t a reality, while proponents on the left warn us that it’s changing our planet as we speak. In his new book, Don’t Even Think About It: Why Our Brains Are Wired to Ignore Climate Change, George Marshall dissects what drives people to deny climate change as a real, imminent threat. The science is out there, but some people still aren’t worried. Why? And if this is true, what can we do about it? Author George Marshall, Karen Weigert, Chief Sustainability Officer for the City of Chicago and Terry Bergdal, CEO of the Institue of Cultural Affairs joins us.
