When Chicago Public Schools closed 50 schools, they moved 12,000 kids to so-called “welcoming schools.” There was a lot of debate around the closings, and they are still spurring protests. But Curious City received a great nuts-and-bolts question about the closings: where do all the supplies, materials and furniture from the closed schools go?
