The World’s Columbian Exposition of 1893 put Chicago on the international map. A Ferris Wheel 100 feet taller than the current one on Navy Pier, Beaux Arts Pavillions designed by the world’s first “starchitect” Daniel Burnham and products from around the world. Wonders of the 1893 World’s Fair showcases artifacts from the legendary fair and the museum’s deep connection to that historic time. Matt Cunningham explains.
