Farm Bill negotiations move ahead as Congress faces critical deadline

Congress is facing a January deadline, and leaders from both the House and Senate Agriculture Committees continue to bang out negotiations. A primary sticking point has been funding the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, or SNAP. Parties can’t agree on how much to cut from the program.
