Forest Preserves launches plan for next 100 years

A new commission formed by Cook County President Toni Preckwinkle is calling for a conversation overhaul at the forest preserves. The commission is recommending $40 million a year to help restore the country’s oldest forest preserve system from what some critics claim as years of decline.
