Whether you’re Team Sweet Potato or Team Pumpkin (or a true maverick who skips the debate for a slice of pecan pie), one thing most people can agree on: Thanksgiving is just that much sweeter with a piece of pie. How did this dessert become a holiday favorite and an American icon?
