Illinois’ Commission on Government Forecasting and Accountability recently released a report examining the state’s tax incentives and related revenue. The report weighs the impact of corporate tax incentives on generating revenue for the economy, and while it doesn’t conclude that Illinois’ seven percent corporate tax rate is the primary factor making the state’s economy struggle, it does indicate that we have lagged behind other states. The commission’s executive director Dan Long details findings from the report. Photo: Flickr/401(K) 2013
