Illinois State Senator Thomas Cullerton Indicted In Embezzlement Scheme

Democratic state Sen. Thomas Cullerton of DuPage County has been federally indicted on embezzlement and conspiracy charges.

Cullerton is accused of receiving more than $274,000 in salary and health benefits from Teamsters Joint Council 25 for doing “little or no work.” He denied the charges Friday through his attorney, according to WBEZ.
