Offices and homes make more room for sacred spaces
Hospitals and airports have had chapels or places to pray for a long time. But they’ve been rare in other businesses. Now some high-tech firms in Chicago are creating sacred spaces of their own. Several are offering - or building - quiet rooms for prayer, meditation and reflection. Business officials say it helps employees recharge, and refocus. And it’s not just offices. We’re starting to see sacred spaces in homes, and home offices, too. We talk with a few experts on what makes a sacred space.
